How do you talk to yourself?
Most people have no idea how to answer this question. Except for the occasional times when the voice in the back of your head gets really loud, you generally just ignore it. You have a constant chatter going on in the back of your mind, but never really stop to listen to it.
What if you did? What would it say? Is that voice encouraging, telling you to go for it; or is it holding you back and telling you you can’t do something? Mine tends to be a mix of both, depending on the situation.
When you start tuning into that voice in the background, you can change it. You can choose to speak kindly to yourself and build a strong foundation.
The words you speak really do become the house you live in. Your words = your house. Do you want to live in a house built on a foundation of kindness? Start listening to that voice.
Join me this week in tuning into that voice. When it’s discouraging or scared, try to show it some love and kindness – let it know that you’ve got this. Let’s build our foundation of self-kindness together.
Thanks for being on the journey with me.
