I’ve used journaling to change my life and cut through the chaos that was keeping me stuck in unhappy patterns. I was first given a journal as a gift for my solo trip to Venezuela. I initially planned to only use it to keep track of my adventures, but it actually offered me many more opportunities. I was surprised by how it helped me explore what I wanted my life to be about and helped me get clear on the goals that I wanted to achieve. It gave me space to see what wasn’t working and ways to actually change these things. Journaling helped me get really clear on what I valued (and not others around around me necessarily did) and that was freedom, excitement, succession, ease and abundance.
This clarity helped me change my unhappy job situation and also allowed me to create a self-care routine that gave me new confidence and compassion for myself. I developed healthier relationships with new friends and let go of older relationships that weren’t helpful anymore.
