Too often I’ve heard “if I had the time”, “she was lucky”, “it couldn’t happen to me”, “I can’t change that much in my life” and the list continues.
And so the idea for a book around “Amazing Women” came to be. It happened in the typical way – sparking ideas that jump at you in the shower when you can’t write anything down!
The interview concept was simple – tell me about your life “before” and “after” you made a hairy scary choice.
Whilst I’m a Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey etc fan –their lives feel as if it operates in a different stratosphere from us mortals here on earth! If this sentiment resonates with you – read on!
I felt it was important to interview the “everyday woman”. Someone you feel that you would want to invite into your lounge for an afternoon cuppa tea (or glass of wine!) and chat about their stories...
In “Amazing Women” – there are the common themes of “I’m not good enough”, “I felt out of place in corporate” and “I felt something was missing” surface.
Their stories range from embracing spirituality, reinventing ones’ self, stepping out of the corporate shadows to overcoming depression.
It’s inspiring how each woman takes you through her journey of conscious Choice. That started with one step – that led to the next and onto the next. Until they reached their “After”.
Which – as most destinations do – make you realise you are capable of so much more – and new paths have started.
I hope this book resonates with you. Feel free to connect with me on Twitter and Facebook to share your insights and your story!
