The Truth of the Matter
Here’s the truth:
You cannot be abandoned. You cannot be left behind. You cannot be damaged. Disparaged. You cannot be thrown away. Thrown under the bus. Thrown to the wolves. You and your precious heart cannot be broken. Shattered. Or damaged in any way.
You can never be all alone. You can never become untethered and separate from all that is. You can be never be lost. Or found. You can never come undone. You can never be off track. Off purpose. Or off your rocker.
You cannot be less than. Greater than. Nothing. You cannot be worthless. Or unworthy. You cannot be insignificant. Or unseen.
Here’s the truth:
You cannot be any of those things. You can feel as if you are. You may think that you are. But you simply cannot be them. Because you already are. And were. And will always be so much more than the tales you tell yourself.
Your thoughts and feelings seem real. Like the holy truth. The story and the turbulent sea of emotions that come with it are a powerful combo. They trick you into visioning the world by the story you tell. But you are not that story. Or any story for that matter.
Here’s the truth:
Shit happens. To us. By us. Around us. Often. It can be good. Bad. Or total nonsense. We make assumptions about ourselves based on aforementioned feces. These are simply assumptions. Not the real juice of who we are.
Stories are fine and dandy. They shape our human experience. But since they are all just made up bits of a personal mythology, why not craft something utterly magnificent? Why not design a story that is way more fun? More loving? And way closer to the truth of who you are?
Here’s the truth:
You are love. The essence of it incarnate. You are swimming in it. In the sea of love and lovers. You can express it. Share it. Dance in it. Always. You can sit on your ass watching the world go by and still be love. Love is whole. Perfect in each and every one of it’s odd and wondrous manifestations. This is who you are. This is the truth.

You are words are so simple but so spectacularly beautiful and spectacular, in the truth and powerful. Thank-you for sharing them with me and all.
Thank you so much for these words today. I was feeling forgotten by my parents... long story.... even though I am 59 years old the little girl is can feel neglected and as if she does not matter. Thanks. I certainly needed your words today.
Thank you for your kind words. I've often felt sorry for myself lately, finding myself feeling as if I have no purpose. I lost my son while I was 22 weeks pregnant just 2 months ago on 4-17-12. We tried for YEARS to get pregnant. It's hard but I try on a daily basis to realize that he is a gift. He wasn't taken from us instead, he was given to us.
I'm glad I read that today. Thank you <3
