the crumbling away of untruth

Enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It's seeing through the facade of pretense. It's the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.

I love everything about this blog. But this. This I don't agree with.

Humm... I always thought of Enlightenment as a positive process. I guess everyone has their own opinion. :)

I think the comments above have missed the point..... just because enlightenment is described as "destructive", it does not mean it is not a positive thing.  It is "destructive as opposed to "constructive".  It is stripping away as opposed to adding more layers.... interesting description and I DO agree!

I understand exactly what you're saying here. Destruction IS positive. If things didn't naturally cycle through creation, sustenance, and destruction, then nothing would ever renew itself. Great post.
