Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Today, I'm going to choose to be happy.
True... except for the tomorrow being dead, bit. I'm not sure about that.
That's what I love about life ... we have a "choice" even in the worst of situations, we have the ability to choose how we want to respond and react. I agree with Groucho ... I choose to be happy!
I need to remember to say this to myself every morning. I think it'll set the tone for the day.
It says yesterday is dead, tomorrow is not here yet. :)
