My heart smiles when I take a step back and notice all of the little idiosyncrasies of life, when freckles start to bloom in the spring, the sound of rain hitting the window, or how my cat blinks one eye at a time when she's really tired.
My girls make my heat smile. Last night my 4 year old saved our wee goldfish's life. She yelled from her bedroom...''fishy can't breath'. Her dadao saw that yes, the tank had been neglected and was very dirty and indeed, fishy couldn't breath and was barely alive. They did an emergency tank cleaning well past Sadie's bed time. This morning before Sadie got out of bed, I heard her yell. "Yeah! Yeah! Fishy made it, fishy made it!". And fishy did. And this, this made my heart smile!!
I can feel my heart smile when others accept my son for who he is. When we are out and about and a complete stranger will give that look of "graciousness" and "love" towards my son, it makes me feel like I want to kiss the world. My son, age 17 is the love of my life. He is my hero who lives each day with severe autism, profound mental retardation and medical fragility. It is my pure belief that God's intent was to place my son here on this earth to measure the size of one's heart. If a complete stranger says "hi" in lieu of staring, laughing, or making negative comment. it fills my heart and makes it smile all over!!!!!! There is no greater feeling in this world. When people are kind hearted, it shows immediately from their innate response and my heart can't help from smiling.
When my kids come up to me and just want to be held...i love 'em all so very much.
spending time with my boyfriend and his kids... they bring me so much joy. especially when we are at one of their sporting events or school events - watching what amazing little adults they are becoming!

wow, what a great giveaway!! We have just started thinking about putting up our own vision board, so it couldn't have come at a more opportune time. For me, my heart is most happy when I am helping others -- my child, my parter, my elderly mother-in-law, and the homeless in our community <3

My heart smiles when I see my children share acts of kindness with other children.
My daughter has a classmate that "challenges" the classroom daily. Lauren speaks of him often and mentions the issues they have with him and how she feels when he does these things.
I mentioned to her one day, "why do you think he does these things?" I suggested she think about that.
The next day I picked her up, she said " Mom, I helped Johnny today!" I was happy, but not quite sure what she meant about "helping".
She said "he was starting to get wild, and I went over and gave him a hug" "I think that is why he gets wild Mom!"
I want to mention that my daughter is 5 years old.

One of my favorite things that make my heart smile is to watch the clouds sail by on a blue sky day.
Making good memories for my babies make my heart smile! As I took them to school this morning we were acting silly. My son, who is 6, said, "Mama, I'm going to remember this moment forever!" Oh, how I love them!
My heart smiles when I watch my 11 month old twin baby girls playing with my 10 year old little girl on the living room floor. It was such a struggle to even have the twins after two miscarriages and a very scary pregnancy. My 10 year old daughter had just as hard of a time as I did losing two babies and she said she prayed every night the whole pregnancy with the twins that God would let them live. She is crazy about her little sisters and even got to name them - Lola Grace and Lucy Grace (she gave them her middle name - Melanie(Millie) Grace). My mother makes my heart smile. She is satisfied with simple things, always saying the flowers at the botanic garden make her heart glad. She's sweet and caring, making cookies and meals for anyone who wants one. She is super considerate, weighing her actions carefully.
